Update: IRA Charitable Rollover extended for 2011
The tax bill passed by Congress in mid-December reinstated a provision that allows donors ages 70-1/2 or older to make a gift directly from their traditional IRA to a qualified non-profit such as the Northern Forest Center. This is great news for people who must take a mandatory minimum withdrawal but do not need the income, because withdrawals made as direct donations to charities do not incur income tax. The provision will remain in effect through December 2011.

You can Help
The Center's work is about the successful integration of people and place, economy and environment, to create a healthy Northern Forest for generations to come. Please join a special group of people dedicated to making this happen through their charitable giving.
The tabs below describe The Center's special donor groups and explain how to donate to The Center.
Annual Gifts & Recurring Gifts
Your annual or recurring donation to The Center provides essential financial support for our programs. When you make a donation, you are helping to build a stronger economy based on the sustainable use of the Northern Forest's natural resources.
A recurring gift is a special way to make your annual donation. Recurring gifts allow you to budget your donation on a monthly basis, and your continuous support is a great help to The Center. You'll be amazed how fast it adds up!
Donations by credit card – One-time or recurring gifts can be made by credit card through our secure online donations page or by calling Paula Stimpson at 603-229-0679, Ext. 108.

The Northern Forest Center is investing in new opportunities to bring economic benefits to communities and promote conservation. We all must care about rural communities across the Northern Forest if we are going to conserve the landscape and ecosystems vital to our future.
