Forestland Projects
To date, the SFF program has played an important role in two
innovative working forestland conservation projects through use
of the New Markets Tax Credit Program. These projects include
the establishment in December 2005 of a 5,300-acre Community
Forest in Errol, N.H., and a financing in 2006 relating to Lyme
Timber Company’s purchase of 276,000 acres in the Adirondacks.
SFF has a working partnership with Maine-based
Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) relating to the
New Markets Tax Credit Program. |
