Past Grant Recipients
In 2006, the Northern Forest Partnership Program awarded more
than $250,000 in grant funding to 19 projects. The selected
projects ranged from creating marketing and business plans for
forest product businesses, to protecting critical bird habitat,
to developing plans for a “forest-to-fuel” plant, to creating
an affordable housing manufacturing facility that uses local
materials.

In 2005, the Northern Forest Partnership Program awarded $135,000
in grant funding to 21 projects. The selected projects ranged
from improving white-tailed deer habitat to support hunting-based
economic activity, to expanding a business that produces high-value
wood products from “character” wood, to integrating hands-on
learning about sustainable forestry into a youth camp experience.

In 2004, the Northern Forest Partnership Program awarded $70,000
in grant funding to 15 projects. The selected projects ranged
from natural resource education guides, to an economic development
plan for towns along a multi-use mountain trail, to marketing
tools for wood product manufacturers.
