Northern Forest Partnership Program
The Northern Forest Partnership Program, established in 2004,
funds community-based projects that promote diverse and sustainable
economies built upon a well-managed forest landscape. The competitive
grant program is a collaboration of the Northern Forest Center,
the North East State Foresters
Association (NEFA) and the USDA
Forest Service.
Funding for the program was made possible by grants from the
Forest Service’s Economic Action Program and the support of U.S.
Senator Judd Gregg of New Hampshire.
Since its inception, the grant program has awarded $456,000
to 55 projects spearheaded by local government, non-profit organizations
and for-profit businesses.
The Northern Forest Partnership Program will once again be awarding grants in 2008. We are in the process of refining the details for this year's program; please check this site periodically, or sign
