Networks
The Northern Forest Center has helped create a shared vision
for the Northern Forest—a vision of healthy communities, economies
and ecosystems—that relies on the commitment and active participation
of many. We develop networks of organizations and individuals
who have the expertise, connections and commitment to help build
a sustainable future for the region.
The Center believes that bringing individuals and organizations
together through networking is key for the Northern Forest’s
future. Together we create a stronger voice for the region than
when we work individually. Our partners come from diverse fields:
the arts; education; conservation; travel and tourism; private
businesses both large and small; local, state and federal legislators
and agencies; rural development organizations; historical and
cultural groups; preservation societies; chambers of commerce
and more.
Our partners and members of our networks provide the comprehensive
perspectives and information that portray the breadth and complexity
of the Northern Forest’s challenges and opportunities. They help
us reach out to others who care about the long-term viability
of the region and to create long-term solutions for the challenges
