The Northern Forest Center advocates for the Northern Forest region and helps its communities benefit from forest-based economic and conservation initiatives. The Center advances the sustainable use of forest resources for wood products, renewable energy, essential ecological processes and tourism, and also builds capacity across the region through coordinated public policy advocacy, targeted public and private investment and by building strong, collaborative networks.

The Center works regionally, addressing issues as they affect all the Northern Forest of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York (see map) and on specific place-based initiatives.
