What Visitors Say
In the first 10 months that Ways of the Woods traveled
through the Northern Forest, more than 3,500 school children
and a total of 40,000 people toured the exhibition. That’s the
equivalent of 1 out of every 40 residents!
Tens of thousands more saw the
striking full-color map and images of the Northern Forest as
the truck rolled through communities and exhibited at major fairs
and festivals.
Here’s what our visitors had to say:
“Thanks for helping me better appreciate a place I’ve lived
for forty years!”
“Very informative display. Great details about yesteryear—but
where is the North Woods going next?”
“Great exhibit. I enjoyed seeing people making a living from
natural resources while respecting it for its beauty.”
“This stuff is so interesting. Yay History!”
“One of a kind. Never saw anything like this before. Love the
displays, the trip through time. Very well put together! Love
the local stuff.”
“It is a nice place. I love how you can learn things without
books.”
“The best part of my day! Do people realize what they have and
could lose?!”
“Fabulous. You should take this out of the Northern Woods!”

A mobile museum to teach, to motivate, to inspire. Bravo.”
“Wonderful, wonderful! Loved the tree ring projector, interview,
smells, and things made by kids. Come to my town please!”

area so they can be part of planning the future.”
