Community Stories
Community Stories, a project in the early stages of development,
will help people map and share the stories of their place. The
project will provide an opportunity for people off all ages and
from all backgrounds to build on their experience with Ways
of the Woods through
a more intensive multi-day workshop process.
As a foundation for this project, the Center is working with
Mary Lyn Ray, author of more than a dozen children’s books, who
has long studied the importance of story in personal and community
identity. Mary Lyn is writing a book about the role of story
in community building and stewardship. Her book and related workbook
pages will provide the core foundation for local story workshops. |
